Sticky Honey & Garlic Chicken

  • 2 x chicken breasts or 4 x thigh pieces (skinless + boneless), available from our Borough Market, Chiswick or Chelsea stores
  • Honey & garlic sauce: 2 cloves of minced garlic, 50g honey, 1.5tsp rice vinegar, 1.5tsp soy sauce, 40ml chicken stock
  • 1tbsp cornflour
  • Pinch of salt, pepper and knob of butter
  • Basmati rice
  1. Place your chicken pieces in a bowl and add the cornflour, salt and pepper. Toss until fully coated and transfer to a heated pan with a splash of oil and cook for 4-5 mins on one side. Turn over and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  2. Add the butter and garlic to the pan, turning down the heat to let the flavours infuse.
  3. Make the honey sauce by combining the honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce and stock in a bowl and mix together.
  4. Add the sauce to the pan, turn up the heat and bring the sauce to a boil. Once boiled simmer for a further 3-4 mins until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
  5. Serve on a bed of basmati rice and enjoy!
