What’s a Christmas dinner without the gravy? As good as pre-made gravy can be (particularly Wyndham’s luxury gravy), we also wanted to share with you a delicious homemade luxury gravy recipe, in case you wanted to make your own this Christmas!
1. Start by adding your chopped onion and carrot into a large pan along with the turkey neck. Pour in the stock and leave to simmer for at least one hour; the longer you leave to simmer the richer the flavour.
2. Strain and remove the vegetables and turkey before returning the liquid back to the pan and onto the hob.
3. Combine the flour and white wine, then add into the pan with the stock – you’ll want to stir this continuously until it has begun to thicken. If your gravy is looking a little thin, add a little more flour to help thicken it.
4. Heat in the pan until piping hot, add in the juices from your cooked turkey, season to taste then add to a warm gravy boat.
